It feels like every muscle in my body is forming a revolt. Ok, maybe not every muscle, but just enough of them that no matter what body part I move, it hurts.
We had our first Ultimate Frisbee game of the season last night. This is our first time playing Winter League and it’s a little different. I’m a fairly strong player (I’ve been playing for 6-7 years, I’d better be!), but I felt like a fish out of water.
Also, I haven’t exercised in a really really long time. So long that I can’t even remember when the last time was. Was it hiking the Grand Canyon? (I’m half serious).
It doesn’t help we’ll be missing our second game next week because we’ll be in Las Vegas (poor us). Maybe I will bring my running shoes and clothes and start getting back into shape (I’ve been saying that since August!).
What’s that saying? The path to hell is paved in good intentions? Well hell here I come! (I hate jogging).
When I was looking up that quote (because I’m notoriously bad at getting sayings right), I found this quote, which tickled me:
“Remember, people will judge you by your actions, not your intentions. You may have a heart of gold — but so does a hard-boiled egg.”
