A month or so ago while driving in Ottawa, Steve and I passed a big field of brightly blooming sunflowers and made a mental note to go back and get pictures. Only one week later we found the time to get there. Unfortunately, the sunflowers were mostly gone and the ones left were all wilted and sad. We were befuddled that the colourful sight of just one week prior was gone so fast. Still, we stayed and snapped away at what was left to make the best of it. Fast forward a month later and Steve’s driving in the same area and happens to glance over and see a huge field of sunflowers, now wilted and dying but clearly the field we had meant to go to weeks before. We still can’t figure out how we missed it.
As always, there are a few more photos on SmugMug.
