Yesterday was Steve and I’s second wedding anniversary. We decided ahead of time that we were too busy to celebrate on the actual day. Instead, yesterday morning we woke up bleary-eyed and sleepy, wished each other happy anniversary, and then played ultimate frisbee for four hours in the rain. It was the finals so you play two games in a row. The rest of the day? I hobbled around and gave Steve a glimpse into the far future with me when we’re aged nonagenarians (I was going to say centenarians but decided I shouldn’t push Fate!). We’re going to celebrate properly this Friday, we just haven’t decided what we’re going to do yet. Last year, our first anniversary ever!, we decided to start a tradition – one of us writes a letter to the other about the past year, and the other plans what we’ll do to celebrate the anniversary. This year we decided to modify the tradition and both of us will plan what we do. But we haven’t come up with anything yet. I do, however, have a bunch of little surprises planned for the week. But shh, don’t tell Steve 😉
Congrats guys forgot your anniversary, however I did support u guys at your ultimate game which by the way everyone the couple won! (MY daughter scored 4 points!) Have fun celebrating your 2nd anniversary
Haha, you make it sound like we won the whole game for the team 😛 No worries on forgetting. I really don’t expect other people to remember!
Happy anniversary! We’re also celebrating our second anniversary today as well!
Happy Anniversary! Enjoy the week!
Congrats to you both! Hope you have a great time celebrating this weekend 🙂
Gah! Totally forgot the date and missed saying “Happy Anniversary” when we saw you guys on Saturday evening. Hope you won your games!
Nah, you don’t need to remember 🙂 as long as Steve and I remember, it’s all good. And it’s hard for us to forget since it’s written inside our rings!
We won one and lost one, but had a great time playing, despite the crummy weather.
[…] Boy’s birthday. Leading up to it I worried that I’d used up all my surprises on our anniversary, but I had one more in store – a treasure hunt! I’ve had this idea for awhile but […]
